Foo Fighters – The Colour And The Shape (2nd press)

Posted: November 27, 2011 in Vinyl

Sony went back and re-pressed the Foo Fighters’ entire back catalog, minus Echoes, Silence, Patience And Grace and their Greatest Hits, which are still in print. All the records were released this past week and are on the pricey side all things considered. The end of the them is here.

The same changes between first and second presses are found here. No gatefold jacket is the biggest difference. This was orignally pressed as a double LP though. Fortunately, this is a surefire way to get a legit pressing of The Colour And The Shape. As it was bootlegged to no end on colors ranging from black, blue and green. It was next to impossible to tell the difference from a legit pressing and a bootleg, minus the colored copies, and people were spending absurd amounts on this album without a guarantee of it being legit. I think most of the bootlegs came from Europe and Japan, with some possibly coming from South America, Brazil in particular.
