Yellowcard – Always Summer Acoustic 7″

This 7″ is not to be confused with the other 7″ single of practically the same name discussed two entries down from this one. Obviously the biggest difference between the two singles is that this 7″ features acoustic versions of the “Always Summer” and “Here I Am Alive.” There were 1,000 copies of this version of the 7″ pressed on coke bottle clear vinyl.

Initially this 7″ was only available in a bundle deal that included the CD version of Yellowcard’s latest album, Southern Air, and one of two different t-shirts. This bundle was only available for a limited amount of time through the pre-order phase and was only sold online through Hopeless Records’ webstore. Eventually Hopeless stopped selling the bundles including this 7″. The CD did come autographed by the band however, but it did not justify the $30 price tag for  just a CD and shirt.

As I expected and banked on, Hopeless Records did not sell enough of these bundles to unload the 1,000 copies of this 7″. Shortly after Southern Air was released they started selling copies of this 7″ individually through their webstore.
