Led Zeppelin – White Summer

This is another Led Zeppelin bootleg, which is entitled White Summer. There are multiple boots with the identical track listing/songs/audio source, but under different titles and with different covers obviously. One of those other boots is entitled One Night Stand (which I also have and there is a post for it found here -), and the other boot has no title listed anywhere. The audio source is soundboard recording from the band’s show at the Playhouse Theater in London on June 27, 1969, which was for the BBC “In Concert” Broadcast.

As far as I know this was pressed on two colors, white and red, and was released on the label Swingin’ Pig. There are only six songs on it, here is the track listing

Side A:

  1. Communication Breakdown
  2. I Can’t Quit You Baby
  3. Dazed & Confused
  4. White Summer / Black Mountain Side

Side B:

  1. You Shook Me
  2. How Many More Times

Sound quality on this is superb. It’s up there with some of the best bootlegs I’ve heard. The performance is great, it’s a great set list (for the portion of the show on this bootleg) and there is little to no distortion, feedback or mixing issues to be found. I would strongly recommend picking this bootleg up if you’re a Zeppelin fan. White Summer is essentially the same boot as another boot I have, One Night Stand. If you have a choice pick up this one, White Summer, instead of One Night Stand. White Summer sounds much better.
