Anthony Green – Would You Still Be In Love (1st Press)

As has been the case with most Anthony Green related releases lately, there was an alternate cover released with one of the variants for his latest solo album; Would You Still Be In Love. This the fifth solo album in his career, sixth if you count the live acoustic album full of older material released just prior to Would You Still Be In Love. All of which were released in a 10 year span. A remarkable feat considering he writes, records and tours with not one but two bands, and does the occasional solo tour here and there.

Would You Still Be In Love was pressed as a single LP spread across five different variants; but only four based on the color of the record. There are 300 copies on ultra clear with baby pink haze (which is where the fifth variant can be found; 150 copies with the aforementioned alternate cover), 500 copies on baby pink/white swirl, which was a tour exclusive, 500 copies on half doublemint green/half bone and 700 copies on bone. All copies come in a single pocket jacket with a full color printed dust sleeve and download card/code.

The alternate cover is the typical quarter fold sleeve that slides over the jacket that has the regular cover art. All of them are hand numbered and autographed by Anthony Green. The numbering is done on the back, while the signature is on the front. He did a smart thing by not signing any copies over the alternate artwork; he chose to sign them in the dead space. This alternate cover was only available from Memory Music in a bundle containing a t-shirt (which has the alternate artwork printed on it) and three different enamel pins. Why enamel pins became a trend is beyond me. Bands have been using cheap buttons for years as a form of merch and advertising, costing no more than $1. But most of these enamel pins, while nice, are selling for upwards of $5; a ridiculous price for something so small.

This bundle cost $55 before shipping. Considering the label is selling the record by itself for $20, and the shirt from the bundle by itself for $18, that leaves $12 leftover for the price of the alternate cover and the three pins. Despite having a mostly complete collection of these Circa Survive/Anthony Green alternate covers going, I did not pre-order this bundle. I don’t need the shirt or the pins. And I also feel that $20 for a single LP is frankly too much when you can wait months down the road to buy said record(s) on sale for under $15. Fortunately I found an amazing deal on ebay where a seller listed this bundle for below retail price (before shipping), and took offers. The seller also accepted my offer for below his asking price, so I scored this for a great price. So I wound up paying my target price of no more than $15 for a single LP when all was said and done. The shirt even came in my size, despite the seller never responding to my question asking for the size.

If anyone wants to buy the three pins from this bundle let me know. I have no need for them. They have never been used, and they have no scratches or any other damage. Paypal as form of payment and I’ll only ship to the USA.
